We supported Clearwater Events for the second year running with this event, delivering technical production for their client’s conference, awards dinner and team building for a national education provider. The chosen venue was Doubletree Hilton Milton Keynes based at the fantastic Stadium MK. The challenge was to deliver a conference set up for the daytime and to then transform the room with a 2 hour turnaround into a luxurious awards dinner venue.
For the daytime conference we set up floor to ceiling pipe and drape around the edge of the room to create a cosier, more intimate environment. A 9m x 4m LED wall, stage and repeater screens ensured everyone was able to engage with the content. Over 80 lighting fixtures including beam lights, moving heads and washes and a full D&B audio package with stage monitors and microphones completed the production.
We had a 2 hour turnaround time to transform the room into an elegant awards dinner location. Using pipe and drape again we created a luxurious entrance tunnel complete with red carpet and Astera tube lighting. A catwalk and dance floor were added and throughout the evening a variety of ambient haze and smoke effects and indoor pyrotechnics were used for an added “wow factor” as the awards were presented.
